2025 VTNE/CVA Scholarships

The Veterinary Team Association of Texas (VTAT) may award up to a maximum of four VTNE/CVA Scholarships throughout the year. Applications and award disbursement coincide with VTNE testing windows and CVA tests. Each scholarship recipient will be awarded a $100 reimbursement upon notification of an official passing score on the VTNE or CVA examination.

Eligibility Requirements

Must be a senior veterinary technician student or recent graduate from an AVMA-CVTEA Accredited Program
OR an individual who has completed all requirements to sit for the Texas Veterinary Medical Association (TVMA) CVA Examination
Must be a current member of VTAT

Application Requirements

Scholarship applicants must submit a 500+ word essay on how they are preparing for the VTNE or CVA examination and why becoming credentialed is important to them
Along with the essay, applicants must submit proof of registration for a current VTNE/CVA exam. Documents accepted include receipts from AAVSB or TVMA or email confirmation of testing dates
Email all documents to veterinaryteamassocoftx@gmail.com during the application window (see below)
Proof of passing the examination must be submitted within 30 days of exam completion via email

May 15th - July 15th
August 15th - October 15th
November 15th - January 15th

Scholarship Application Open

January 1st - January 31st (Closed)
April 1st - April 30th
July 1st - July 31st
October 1st - October 31st

CVA Exam Timelines

Applications may be submitted at least 30 days prior to testing. CVA Exam Scholarship applications will be reviewed during each application window
